When graphic artist Crishana Vaughter gave her friend a special gift, she got an unexpected present in return. In 2000, Crishana, founder of Dallas-based banana, ink.- a creative studio, painted a custom mural in a friend's baby nursery. The mural was so well received, her friend and others persuaded her to add mural painting to her print and marketing design company.
It was not long before custom murals became a primary focus for banana, ink. The company also creates props and backgrounds for film and video productions, designs marketing collateral, tradeshow environments and creates personalized invitations and announcements. |
After expanding her client list to include Texas Instruments, Frisco Parade of Homes and professional baseball player Jason Jennings, Crishana decided to grow the company. In 2005, Crishana's childhood friend Niki Hawkins joined banana, ink. Crishana and Niki have been painting together since kindergarten
banana, ink. has been seen in Dallas Child, MyDallasPregnancy, The Bump and The Advocate magazines. The company specializes in whimsical, imaginative design and has a modern, creative vision. |

Niki Hawkins is a graduate of Texas Tech University and worked for ASA and Delta Airlines for 12 years. Prior to joining banana, ink., Niki owned and designed for the jewelry company Niks Naks where she honed her creative eye. |
